Welcome to the Dutch site of the European Language Portfolio (ELP). The Dutch electronic language portfolio has been defined by the European Validation Committee as 'a model that conforms to the principles and guidelines and lays the foundation for a whole new on-line language learning culture'. This website allows language learners to keep their own online language portfolio up to date. To do this you need to register for the first time. Your personal details entered cannot be accessed by other people. During your subsequent visits you can log in to your personal portfolio straight away. You can find general information on the European Language Portfolio by clicking on the buttons in the menu on the left. A language portfolio can be of great use to companies, or for colleges and tertiary education institutions, or even for parents who want to record their children's language development. Besides a language portfolio for learners, there is also a teacher's portfolio. The latter is not available in English. Before starting to use the ELP, download the manual and follow the instructions. The English language version of the general part of this site is a shorter version of the Dutch site, partly because the Dutch site refers to sites that are Dutch language sites. |
